Oneday my hubby and I went a visiting, and on our visit we sat in the lounge of a warm cosy fire and were lavished on with afternoon tea. It was on the plate of the afternoon tea that I discovered a love for these particular cookies. On my return home I looked through one of my recipee books and found what I guessed might be the ingredients and came up with the recipee for cornies. So traditional, so old fashioned, so easy to make and above all, so warm hearted.
